L calls it ‘glimmers’, appreciating the ‘small things’. Let me enumerate the best ones from the last three days:
- A day out with Chini-Rae and the hunt for good birria tacos in Central Auckland.
- Plantain bananas finally arriving in New Zealand supermarkets. Not the best to be honest, but it would do.
- Don’t care, but I love my Ray Ban Meta glasses even as I loathe the company that makes it.
- Saba cooked in syrup (just brown sugar in this case) brings back the memories.
- Art (simple pen drawings by Alberto Giacometti).
- Our mandarin tree in full bloom, a virtual buffet for the bees.
