Okay, let me get this straight- you turn on him now, because he didn’t deliver what you wanted?? Does it sting that you can’t afford to shop at Whole Foods anymore? Can’t afford to fill up that monstrous, fossil-fuel-guzzling Dodge Ram? Finding that the usual Joe Rogan posturing, which used to be amusing and comforting, now seems lame?
So you think, by voting the other way in the mid-terms, it cancels out the fact that you actually voted for someone who was intrinsically unfit and inherently deplorable to begin with?

Decency won, a NYTimes opinion piece declares- hmmm; decency is kindness, honesty, dignity, and a sense of what is right—even when no one is watching. You stick to that no matter what happens. You don’t trade that for convenience, for a better life when that means grim consequences for others. You don’t literally sell your soul to the devil.
Decency is being able to recognise and empathise with the humanity of others and act accordingly.
If you’re one of those 77 million plus people in 2024 and the 62 million back in 2016- and let me just throw in here, every other non-American who has voted for someone who is a mirror-image of him– you are not decent. Far from it.
Just wanted to say that this ‘change of heart’ is not cutting it, not even close.
