been under the radar

incredible..thank God, I don't have to maintain this blog to pay my bills or to buy the latest gadget because it's been like a million years and I have an amazing 14 drafted, unpublished posts in my bin. And speaking of bloggers who earn a living from blogging, almost everyone I know had watched this show on tv where big-time commercial blogs were reported to rake in as much as $6,000 monthly. What was amazing wasn't the amount, but the fact writers could actually earn such sums........I've been out of the blogosphere for quite some time though not that far away. I've been exploring the job market for my qualification and I'm just surprised that there's been a virtual explosion of opportunities for writers who like myself, may find it appropriate to simply telecommute.

It's not literature, but if you're looking to pay your bills, buy a few Macs along the way and then some, then you might try looking into the BPO industry (Business Process Outsource). It could all sound Greek at first- content writing, RSS, etc- but if you've been the kind of writer with at least 10 years of HACK experience (it sounds harsh I know) from theses, online academic papers, ad agency temping, screenplay, technical manuals to newspapers and then blogging, it shouldn't be that hard (ha ha, I've done all that and then some).

If working in your boxers with your bed just 3 feet away is not enough incentive, I don't know what is....
